Rock and Wrap It Up!
Rock and Wrap It Up! is a program that teams up with different sporting events, concerts and entertainment venues to collect the unwrapped, unused food from different events. Along with food from these events, collecting toiletries from hotels is also part of their mission. The items collected by Rock and Wrap It Up! is donated to 43,000 agencies nationwide that help to end hunger in America. They wrote and passed the Federal Food and Donation Act, which required federal buildings to donate food instead of putting it into landfills.
They team up with over 60 professional sports organizations, including the entire National Hockey League (NHL).Teams from Major League Baseball(MLB), the National Basketball Association(NBA), and National Football League(NFL) are also involved. Elite colleges are also part of this campaign, especially those with popular Division I sports teams which draw crowds equal to or bigger than some professional events.
